Reflections Yoga, 227 East 24th St, NYC
If you’ve been practicing yoga asana for a while, and are interested in mixing up your movement repertoire, this class is for you. The more I learn about the body, the more I understand that variety is essential. However, repetition is also important for motor learning, physical conditioning, and feeling safe. My hope is that this series will give you fresh insights, a weekly dose of nutritious movement, and lessons that are easy to reproduce on your own.
In this course you will:
Awaken blind spots in areas of the body underserved by a typical asana practice.
Mitigate common aches and pains by training balanced muscle tone and joint resilience.
Gain agency to make educated choices in your practice as it relates to your body, even if those choices go against the yoga status quo.
Classes combine yoga with physical therapy, strength training with resistance bands and body weight, Feldenkrais, Functional Range Conditioning, self massage, and conscious relaxation. All levels of experience and beginners are welcome.
8 week series: June 4 - July 23, Tuesdays 5-6:15PM
PRICE AND REGISTRATION:
$168 for any 6 of the 8 classes
Because class themes will build week by week, and there’s immense value in sticking with a program over a period of time, I’m organizing this as a class series. I also completely understand that you might need to miss some weeks. That’s why you need only commit to 6 of the 8. If you later find that you’re able to attend all 8, great! You’ll be able to purchase an additional 1 or 2 classes for $28 per class.
In an effort to keep the group small and provide plenty of personal feedback, I’m giving advance registration to those who sign up for the series. After that, if space allows, I’ll open the doors for drop-ins at $35 per class.
